If someone closes the trading window while the other player is dragging an item from their inventory to the trade window, the item will be immediately dropped on the ground. The bug in question revolves around trying to perform a trade. Diablo 2: Resurrected on console, however, streamlines this process, making it frustratingly easy to steal items. Trading in Diablo 2 has always been a risky proposition, as other players have shown a surprising cleverness in stealing items over the years.
